Ukraina zwyciężyła we Wrocławiu 2:1 z Islandią w finale baraży o awans na Euro po bramkach Tsygankova i Mudryka. Ukraińcy zdominowali rywali w drugiej odsłonie strzelając dwie bramki.

Skrzydłowi byli kluczowi

Ukraina wykorzystała swoją największą broń – szybkich i utalentowanych skrzydłowych. Viktor Tsygankov strzelił w 54 minucie wyrównującą bramkę w schodząc na lewą nogę w swoim stylu. Ostateczny cios zadał Mykhalo Mudryk w 84 minucie uderzeniem spoza pola karnego.

Ukraińcy w barażach o awans na Euro 2024 najpierw pokonali Bośnię i Hercegowinę 2:1, by teraz zwyciężyć tym samym wynikiem z Islandią. Tym samym awansowali na ten turniej i trafili do grupy E, gdzie zmierzą się z Rumunią, Słowacją i Belgią.
