Jeszcze kilka miesięcy Dean Huijsen był postrzegany jako filar obrony Juventusu. Holender jednak nie był w stanie znaleźć uznania w oczach Massimiliano Allegriego i został w zimowym oknie transferowym wypożyczony do AS Romy.
