Świetny początek Austrii

Akcja bramkowa nastąpiła od razu po rozpoczęciu meczu. Christoph Baumgartner oddał precyzyjny strzał zza pola karnego i wyprowadził Austrię na prowadzenie. To już dwunaste trafienie piłkarza RB Lipsk w narodowych barwach. Fatalnie rozpoczęło się to spotkanie dla reprezentacji Słowacji, bowiem Martin Dubravka chwilę po pierwszym gwizdku sędziego, już musiał wyciągać piłkę z siatki. Ofensywna przebojowość Austriaków w tej akcji zasługuje na słowa uznania. Jak się okazuje, to najszybciej strzelony gol w historii piłki reprezentacyjnej.
