Premier League za pośrednictwem swoich mediów społecznościowych oficjalnie ogłosiło dołączenie do tegorocznego Hall Of Fame Ashleya Cole’a.

Czym jest Premier League Hall Of Fame?

PL Hall Of Fame (ang. galeria sław) to projekt, który zajmuje się uhonorowaniem osiągnięć zawodników oraz menadżerów, którzy wnieśli znaczący wkład w rozwój rozgrywek od 1992 roku. Jego idea powstała w 2020 roku, ale z powodu globalnej pandemii oficjalnie wystartował rok później. Pierwszymi zawodnikami, którzy pojawili się w “Galerii Sław” byli między innymi Thierry Henry, Erick Cantona i Alan Shearer.

Premier League oficjalnie potwierdziło, że w 2024 roku do “Galerii Sław” dołączy Ashley Cole. Lewy obrońca przez całą swoją karierę sięgnął po trzy tytuły mistrzowskie. Dodatkowo rozegrał 385 spotkań i zanotował 31 asyst. Anglik reprezentował barwy Crystal Palace FC, Arsenalu FC i Chelsea FC. – Jestem zaszczycony, że mogę dołączyć do Premier. League Hall of Fame. – To upokarzające i zarazem satysfakcjonujące być nagradzanym po zakończeniu kariery – stwierdził z uśmiechem na ustach 43-latek.
