Po godzinie 16:50 FIS Ski Jumping oficjalnie poinformowało o odwołaniu konkursu mężczyzn w Vikersund. Powodem takie decyzji były warunki pogodowe, które uniemożliwiły rozpoczęcie rywalizacji.

Pogoda utrudnia życie

Początkowo jury ustaliło, że rozpoczęcie zawodów nastąpi o 16:30, ale później godzina została przesunięta na 17:00. Następnie zdecydowano się na przeprowadzenie tylko jednej serii. Jednakże zaledwie kilkanaście minut przed planowanym startem, ogłoszono całkowitą rezygnację z sobotnich zmagań.

Tym samym w niedzielę mają zostać przeprowadzone aż dwa konkursy lotów – jednoseryjne zawody przełożone z soboty oraz składający się z trzech rund finał turnieju Raw Air.

Niedziela pełna emocji

Ostatecznie harmonogram niedzielnego skakania w Vikersund prezentuje się następująco: 11:05 – Konkurs indywidualny (jedna seria), 15:30 – Konkurs indywidualny
