Toto Wolff miał po raz pierwszy w tym sezonie nie zaszczycić swoją obecnością na torze podczas weekendu z Formułą 1. Jak się jednak okazuje, szef Mercedesa zjawi się jednak na torze Suzuka – informuje Sky Sports.

Po ostatnim weekendzie wyścigowym w Australii Toto Wolff zapowiedział, że nie będzie go w Japonii podczas czwartej rundy sezonu. Mówił on wówczas, że potrzebuje chwilowej przerwy, by wrócić z jeszcze większą energią. Szybko zrewidował on jednak swoje plany.

Jak podaje Sky Sports, ostatecznie szef Mercedesa jednak zjawi się na legendarnym torze Suzuka. Przy 24 wyścigach w sezonie rotacje w obecności na torze wydają się zrozumiałe, jednak Wolff ostatecznie postanowił polecieć do Japonii, mając również na uwadze słabszy czas ekipy z Brackley.

Początek sezonu z pewnością nie należy do udanych dla Lewisa Hamiltona i George’a Russella. Zajmują oni bowiem kolejno 7. oraz 10. miejsce w klasyfikacji kierowców, a w tabeli konstruktorów Mercedes jest dopiero 4.

Wyścig o GP Japonii rozpocznie się w niedzielę, 7 kwietnia o 7:00 czasu polskiego.
