Dla Jakuba Jarosza będzie to powrót do zespołu z Pomorza. Występował w nim wcześniej w latach 2013-2014. Od 2019 roku był zawodnikiem GKS-u Katowice. Ma w swoim dorobku mistrzostwo Polski. Zdobył je w 2009 roku w barwach PGE Skry Bełchatów.
Jarosz jest byłym reprezentantem Polski. W kadrze grał w latach 2009-2015. W biało-czerwonych barwach wygrał mistrzostwo Europy w 2009 roku i Ligę Światową w 2012 roku.
